Preconception Cleansing; Help Get Pregnant and Have a Healthy Natural Birth
Help Getting Pregnant and Avoid Miscarriage with Preconception Cleansing
There are several very valid reasons for paying particular attention to your health before conceiving. In fact, it could be said that there is a specific need for preconception cleansing. In this article we will reveal some of these reasons and what you can do to help get pregnant. By removing toxins and restoring metabolic and hormonal harmony, your body can be cleansed and prepared fully for fertilization, pregnancy and birth.
1. Avoid Miscarriage and Maximize Your Chances of Conception
What does it mean to be infertile? It means that one of the couple needed for conception is unable to provide the necessary components. It may be that the male is unable to provide sufficiently motile sperm or the female may be unable to either conceive or to maintain a successful pregnancy (e.g. Miscarriage). One common cause for these problems is that of age. Women of thirty-five years of age or older are statistically less likely to get pregnant than their younger counterparts. But frequently there are other causes of infertility in women, such as PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) leading to irregular menstrual cycles or even none at all. Yet another problem leading to infertility, especially in women beyond their most fertile age, is endometriosis (where the outside of the uterus has cell-growth that should be on the inside instead).
This might sound like most of the problems are unfairly laid at the door of the poor woman, and the truth is that men have it much easier. However men with low male hormone levels or other imbalances can have lower sperm quality. So it isn’t always the woman that is to blame!
What do we learn from this?
Naturopathy doctor Lynn Tan thinks that infertility is frequently caused by poor nutrition, chronic illness or toxemia. The older we get, the more the condition of our health can affect not only our fertility, but also the health of our unborn child.

2. Pregnancy is a Detoxifying Process
Yes, pregnancy itself is a detoxifying process, particularly in the first trimester. This is precisely why so many women have to endure the most unpleasant ordeal of morning sickness. This is one method the body uses of expelling poisons to ensure that the womb is a safe and healthy place for the foetus. Thus, it is obvious, that if you wish to have a healthy baby and avoid conditions like preeclampsia, high blood pressure and so-on, it is important to first ensure your own body is healthy.
3. A Healthy Body Means A Healthy Baby
The health condition of the baby is greatly influenced by that of the parents even as early as the moment of conception. We are all subject to varying degrees of toxicity from the air we breathe, the fluids we drink and the foods we eat. Whatever passes through your intestines can be absorbed into your blood supply. You know how run-down you feel when you are constipated? That is because your body is unable to expel the harmful toxins in your colon fast enough. Follow that train of thought back up the metaphorical track and you may realize that the root cause of both the constipation and the run-down feeling is poor diet. Lack of fibre, high levels of artificial preservatives and other chemicals and unhealthy processed foods are usually the cause. By changing your diet to include more fibre-rich foods and plenty of fruit and vegetables, toxins can be slowly flushed from your system.
This doesn’t mean that poor diet is the only cause of toxicity. Emotional stress, radiation from electromagnetic fields and poor exercise are also significant factors that will affect the baby’s health.
If you get these factors sufficiently sorted you will be in a strong position to avoid infertility and ensure your child is less at risk of birth defects, premature birth, low birth weight and numerous allergies (such as eczema, asthma and so forth).
4. Avoid Birth Defects
The term “birth defects” can include mental and physical disorders. Some examples are cleft palate, poorly formed heart valves, spina bifida, brain damage, joint and limb disabilities and many more. While it isn’t the aim of this article to go into great detail about such conditions, it is worth noting that many of them can be avoided by taking sensible health precautions. These precautions including the avoidance of cigarette smoke, harmful drugs, drinking alcohol and exposure to German measles and rubella.
Others are environmental factors that the pregnant lady is exposed to such as rubella and German measles, using drugs, smoking, alcohol during pregnant, or a combination of all the above factors.
5. Healthy Parents Leads to Enjoyable Pregnancy and Natural Vaginal Birth
As we’ve already seen, a healthy lifestyle can greatly help getting pregnant. Generally women that live a healthy lifestyle are less likely to suffer from as much morning sickness and are more likely to have an easier pregnancy and a natural vaginal delivery. Men that drink less and live healthy, non-smoking lives are more likely to be fertile and contribute strong and healthy sperm. However it is worth noting that couples should engage in preconception cleansing a minumum of 6 months before trying to conceive.
